I suggest a desktop shortcut as I have forgotten which app to look for before. This is counterintuitive but it won’t work otherwise. Drag the pack from the pedestal to the altar and it will open up.Īfter this you can go ahead and download/install the game! When it comes time to run the game you want to click on the “immutable” icon not the “gods” one. Your tokenized cards will be stored in your wallet but any core cards you get that you have not fused, as well as your flux, are stored on Immutable’s servers linked to this user name and password.Īs part of the registration process you will get to open one free core pack! The temple will automatically be brought up to let you open the pack. Because GU uses a game client outside of chrome, it also asks you to create a username and password. In the crypto world this signing is equivalent to setting up a new account. It should also prompt metamask to ‘sign’ something for you. It will give you the option of registering. Once metamask is installed and running head over to Immutable’s website. ![]() ![]() Setting it us is similar to any new app (good instructions here ), just please remember to write down the 12 word combination they provide you. Metamask is a very popular choice, with a chrome extension and a mobile app that can work together. Gods unchained needs a “trust wallet” to store your tokenized cards. This guide will take you from a wet eared beginner to a functional player with cards of your own and some wins under your belt. There is a bit of a process to go through before you can play your first game. Here are the list of topics that will be covered. You can read part one here: Gods Unchained – Bringing TCG to the BlockchainĪfter reading the last article you are probably itching to get started! Now that the Forge and fusion are up and running there is a very satisfying and rewarding gameplay loop. Otherwise, there's like a 95% chance Legends of Runeterra will be a more competitively viable game, mechanically and monetarily (tournament and cost wise).Įdit: Just read up more on Shadowverse, and the evolve mechanic seems interesting.Welcome to part two of our introduction to Gods Unchained and play-to-earn. It has low interactivity right now, but there's a good chance the devs will be able to get it out of that rut, especially once they get a player base that actually knows what they're doing (crypto nerds who have never touched a card game give really bad advice but still love to give it), aka when they'll start to get legitimate and useful criticism. The mana lock system is pretty revolutionary to me, and eventually there'll be this sideboard-but-not-a-sideboard mechanic called sanctum (a bit too complicated to try to explain within a comment, you'll find an article about it somewhere in the official content discord or something). GU on the other hand is at least trying to distinguish itself mechanics wise, and I appreciate that. At a glance, from looking at other people description of the game, it's mechanically just an HS clone with an anime art style with even less elements to distinguish it from HS (in-game mechanics wise not talking about ftp here). Oh, I wouldn't know, I've never played it. How do they get ETH? What’s a wallet? How do I install a browser extension? Can’t this hack and track me? What can I buy with ETH that I can’t easily buy with dollars/euros/etc? These are all legit questions and concerns I’ve heard from 27 - 70 year olds I interact with. Except, they’ve heard of Bitcoin, but don’t understand it, and don’t trust it and think it is a fad. Without GU, ETH is just some rando crypto coin thing that’s for drugs or scams or hackers and there’s no difference between ETH and Bitcoin. They need to see things like GU to understand WHY they need to learn about ETH. ![]() Most of the stuff out there on ETH is too technical for someone with 10 minutes to spare. Most people, even friends of mine that are pretty tech, haven’t had time to sit down and understand ETH and how dApps, and smart contracts, and so much more form a layered ecosystem. So much more than a “coin” like those I hold in my hands and do nothing. It’s a fundamental mind shift around what currency is, and what it can be.
